About Us

Michelle Kennedy

After this past season, Michelle's first as studio owner, the amount of pride and joy felt for her two dancers as well as for all of those that she is honored to work with is truly overwhelming. When this new adventure began, and things just sort of fell into place to allow her the chance to be in the conductor’s car on this crazy train, she chugged full force into the season, so excited to help bring our studio safely into its next great destination, and now believes we have arrived! Even after trudging up a few small mountains and encountering a couple of switch tracks along the way, as in life, every challenge and new experience teaches us something and brings us to where we are, and she could not be prouder of where that has led.

Michelle’s love for the arts began at a very young age, singing in church at age 5, learning to play the piano and viola, and performing with numerous choral groups from the age of 10 into her adult years. After auditioning and attending as many as 12 Regional Honor and All-State Choruses, her love for music and her repertoire expanded. As a member of the Fayette County High Select Chorus, she traveled to New York City and Boston on several academic and theatre trips performing inside Carnegie Hall and for the Sunday morning mass in the cathedral on the campus of Harvard University. These trips provided the opportunity to attend multiple plays and musical theatre shows both ‘on and off-Broadway’, only strengthening her love for music, theatre, and the arts. After enrolling her oldest in her first dance class at two years old, Michelle fell in love with the beauty and art of dance as well. She has learned alongside both her daughters as they have grown and excelled over the last 12+ years. With over 11 years of competitive dance experience as a mom and studio manager, she sought to delve deeper into the arts and chose to take on the challenge of owning her own studio and helping other young artists develop their talents.

In her time away from the studio Michelle enjoys spending time with friends and her family and supporting her daughter’s Morgan and Madeleine in their various schools, pageant, church, and social events.
